Best paper award

The Best Paper Award at ANTS 2010, in part sponsored by AntOptima, continues a grand tradition started at ANTS 2002.

The prize winner will receive a certificate signed by the conference organizers and a sculpture of an ant expressly created for the ANTS conference by the Italian sculptor Matteo Pugliese.


Best student paper award

The winner of the Best Student Paper Award, sponsored by Wolfram Research, will receive a Mathematica for Students license as a prize.

Award procedure:

An initial selection of 15 award eligible papers has been made by the conference organizers. These were the full papers that had been selected for oral presentation at the conference.

The Best Paper Award and Best Student Paper Award have been selected among these 15 papers by the full ANTS 2010 Conference Committee.

Each voter had 10 points to distribute over exactly 4 papers (with a max of 5 points and a min of 1 point for each of the four papers). Based on the cast votes, a unique ranking including student and non-studnt papers has been established. The Best Paper Award goes to the first ranked papers. The Best Student Paper Award goes to the best ranked among the remaining papers.

Award ceremony:

The award ceremony will take place on Thursday 9, 2010, after lunch time. At least one author for each of the five nominated is requested to be present at the ceremony.
