Call for participation

The organizing committee has invited submission of abstract from philosophers, philosophers of science, mathematical modelers and biologists on the topics related to the definition of the self, the self/non-self theory or other theories of the immune system. The contribution should not have focused on presenting primary experimental or modeling data but on discussing conceptual and theoretical aspects. Each extra contributed speaker is intended to have 15 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion. The official language of the conference is English.
The call for abstracts for oral presentations that was opened until April 10 was successful since more than 30 abstracts have been submitted out of which 6 have been selected for being orally presented to the conference.
Thanks for all these very interesting submissions. Unfortunately schedule constraints forced us to be rather selective.
