What is this page?

This page contains an up to date list of the status of the IRIDIA sbots. Please update with any problems or other info you find for each s-bot.

Please note that robots with trembling turrets, different track speeds and broken slope sensors are not considered to be "broken". Only robots with major problems like broken tracks or LEDs are marked as broken in the following list.

IMPORTANT - How_to_avoid_damage_to_the_s-bot (includes info on recharging with new circuit board).

Sbots in IRIDIA

sbot 3 [BROKEN: battery, gripper]

  • does not hold the charge for a long time Arne 12:38, 15 December 2009 (CET)

sbot 5 [BROKEN: does not hold the charge]

sbot 6 [BROKEN: tracks, gripper]

  • Left track not responding Rogrady 17:19, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
    • Motor works, but seems to have not enough force. Blocks when track rubber gets in way of wheel. Arne 17:01, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
  • Got broken gripper from 35
    • Crack in black gripper plastic glued. Gripping works ok, but be gentle. Rogrady 17:35, 26 January 2007 (CET)
    • Gripper not working. Metal sheath for wire has come unstuck from red plastic of gripper. Rogrady 12:55, 13 October 2009 (CEST)

sbot 8 [BROKEN: flash/mainboard, gripper, camera]

  • Gripper elevation changes slowly. There is a little bit of play, especially when directing it downwards. pincy 21:01, 8 July 2008 (CEST)

  • Problem with camera board (camera comes from sbot26):

sbot 9 [BROKEN: battery/gripper]

  • Gripper does not fully close. Rogrady 15:04, 13 November 2007 (CET)
  • Gripper broken. Probably glueable in IRIDIA. Rogrady 16:20, 24 November 2008 (CET)
  • Battery level check seems to be completely broken, either SIGSEGV or random values Arne 09:40, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

sbot 13 [OK]

  • Left motor slower than right motor when going forward (values 20/20), left motor faster than right motor when going backwards (values -20/-20). pincy 21:19, 8 July 2008 (CEST)

sbot 12 (IDSIA)

  • Gripper -> s-bot 9 (Gripper cracked)
  • LED Ring c.b. -> s-bot 32 (32's did not light up in different cols)
  • Wifi card -> s-bot 26 (26's did not connect)
  • Battery control PIC -> s-bot 26 (26's was always registering 0)

sbot 10 (EPFL LIS)
