All the resources regarding the e-puck are hosted mainly in two git repositories. A simple user will need only the e-puck plugin for ARGoS, which can be found at:

https://iridia-dev.ulb.ac.be/projects/argos3-epuck/git

The above repository contains the code for both simulation and real robot, documentation, and testing controllers. More advanced users who want to upload a new firmware, read or modify the e-puck standard libraries need to get the content of a second repository:

https://iridia-dev.ulb.ac.be/projects/epuck_infrastructure/git

If you want to request access to these repositories or if you have any question or doubt contact Lorenzo (lgaratto (at) ulb (dot) ac (dot) be).

Check that the link in the "coordinator" directory is pointing to the correct version.
Example for a 32 bits pc:
librxtxSerial.so -> libs-dist/rxtx-2.2pre2-bins/i686-pc-linux-gnu/librxtxSerial.so

Check that you have a file /dev/ttyUSB0 or /dev/ttyUSB1 and change the setting in the main of the experiment.

Check that you have permission to read from them, e.g.:
cat /dev/ttyUSB0
should not give a "denied" message

In case you don't, add yourself to the correct group. Also, you can try doing
chmod 666 /dev/ttyUSB0

Check the pins on the TAM.
The diagram can be confusing: the black dot is where the pin should be.

Iridia Supplementary Information Instructions page

In this page you can find instructions on how to use the new Iridia Supplementary Information page.
Every person should transfer all the supplementary information (videos, images, pictures, graphs, etc.) in this page and for every paper that contains this kind of information, create an entry.
The structure is as follows:
* There is the page http://iridia.ulb.ac.be/supp in which we keep record of all the papers containing supplementary information, with a link leading to a dedicated page containing this info.
* Under /supp/ there are directories, one for each paper, containing all the media plus an index.html file

=== Procedure for adding supplementary material ===

The procedure is the following:

# People should contact the [[Lab_responsibilities|responsible of the supplementary pages]], who will create a directory under http://iridia.ulb.ac.be/supp/ with the title IridiaSupp200x-00x, with the numbering according to the year of the paper and the rank it gets for that year. Papers will acquire an ascending number (first who asks for a number gets it). At the same time, the publication details of the paper should be provided to the [[Lab_responsibilities|responsible of the supplementary pages]] and he will upload them to the SUPP page.
# Once every user has her/his directory, (s)he should
## create an index.html page which should contain ALL the information referred to in the paper. It can potentially include extra text. See http://iridia.ulb.ac.be/supp/IridiaSupp2008-007/index.html for an excellent example by Max.
## create a compressed file with all the supplementary information (images, videos, etc) in her/his directory, and USE LOCAL LINKS in hers/his index.html pages
## upload the page on iridia inside the folder /var/www/iridia.ulb.ac.be/supp/IridiaSupp20XX-XXX, where IridiaSupp20XX-XXX is provided by the [[Lab_responsibilities|responsible of the supplementary pages]].

=== Procedure for moving old material to the supplementary material page ===

From now on ONLY this way of using supplementary information should be used. In case though, in old papers you have included links to pages e.g. in your own homepages or hosted on your machine, THEN, what should be done is the following:

# once again produce the index.html page, can be a copy of your old cited page
# copy all the files in the directory IridiaSupp200x-00x
# REDIRECT YOUR OLD CITED PAGE TO THIS NEW ONE with sth like:<pre><meta HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" content="0; url=http://iridia.ulb.ac.be/supp/IridiaSupp200x-00x/index.html"></pre>

To add a streaming video, please use HTML5. The simple procedure is the following.

# Add the tag <pre><video src="video.ogg" controls="controls">Your browser does not support the video tag.</video></pre>
# Convert your avi to ogg with <pre> ffmpeg -i video.avi -b 1024k video.ogg </pre>
# Place video.ogg in IridiaSupp200x-00x
