Abstract
The talk covers my research in swarm intelligence. In the first part of my talk, I will present my research on Particle Swarm Optimization using the unconventional approaches of chaotic sequences and constructing complex networks from the swarm inner dynamics. The second part of my talk describes recent research in swarm robotics conducted at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (USA) where I developed decentralised algorithms to enable the robots to self-localise in a robotic lattice and exploit a shared coordinated system for various operations.
