The Isaac Project: developing of a humanoid robot.

Abstract

The research on humanoid robots has grown in the recent years. Legged and biped robots are considered the natural evolution of mobile robots, because they can navigate the human environment more efficiently. "Isaac" is the humanoid robot that, since Sepetember 2002, is being developed at Politecnico of Torino; the main subject of the project is the hardware construction and biped walking algorithms tp achieve dynamic balancing.
