I'm organizing, together with Franco Mascia and in the context of the COMEX project, a free-of-charge one-day workshop on the practical application of automatic configuration methods to configure heuristic and exact optimization algorithms, and other configurable systems. The aim of the workshop is to introduce the concepts of automatic configuration to algorithm users and designers. See the webpage for more information and registration.

I have been invited to give a talk at the Dagstuhl Seminar on Learning in Multi-Objective Optimization. I will be talking about offline learning, iterated racing, and the automatic configuration of multi-objective algorithms.

I will be at the Sixth International Conference on Evolutionary Multi-criterion Optimization (EMO 2011) presenting my recent work on archiving algorithms.
