OVERVIEW

I am a Ph.D. student at IRIDIA, Université libre de Bruxelles, under the supervision of professor Marco Dorigo, since November 2007. Before joining IRIDIA I did my studies at Politecnico di Milano, Italy, where I obtained the master degree in computer science engineering.

Since 2007 I've been involved in the FET project Swarmanoid. The main scientific objective of this research project was the design, implementation and control of a novel distributed robotic system made up of heterogeneous, dynamically connected, small autonomous robots. The project successfully ended in Setember 2010.

My research focuses on swarm intelligence and swarm robotics. In particular I am interested in studying the topics of self-organized task allocation and task partitioning.
