Abstract
In this presentation, I am going to introduce myself with a briefly description of my background. After that, the main features of the electricity grid will be explained. This explanation is focused on the temporal behavior of the grid, where some efficiency problems will be identified. Once this problems are known, an energy management objective will be defined. Techniques that exist today will be explained, leading to an energy management proposal based on swarm algorithms. In the last part of this presentation, I will talk about our current developments in this field. Because the problem has not been solved yet, two future lines will be proposed, one based on task-allocation and the other one on task-partitioning.
